HIGH PRECISION EQUATORIAL BELLINCIONI MOUNTS
Bellincioni supplies B230, Omega, Alpha, Beta and Gamma models with Astromeccanica DA2 motor (stepper) or with advanced Astrometric Skywalker motor (servo).
We can also adapt to our mounts nearly any kind of motor owned by the customer provided that it is
strong enough in relation to the weight of the mount and the instrument it has to carry.
The Bellincioni mounts are durable and long lasting because they are only ones specifically studiet to be adapter to any future motor set.
Characteristics of a good mount are:
Big gears with a higher number of helical teeth, to reduce angular errors, made in bronze B14, which is the best material for gears.
Very big ground stainless steel worms to reduce the periodic error (which can be certified upon customer’s request) moving on bushes for the maximum rotation smoothness.

Large setting circles with vernier (very useful optional in case of manual use.

|
Large saddle plate base (B230=100mm; Omega =140mm; Alpha=170mm; Beta=200mm; Gamma=250mm) to lay long instruments on top.
B230, Omega, Alpha, Beta and Gamma are all high precision and very strong German equatorial mounts, manufactured entirely in
anticorodal aluminium and bronze which are high quality and durable materials machined from solid bars only (no casting, welding, chrome plating are used, no iron or plastic parts).
Every single piece is tooled with very tight tolerances, modern machinery and craftmanship in order to achieve the necessary
precision aiming to zero clearance on both shafts and on the whole structure.
Ease of movement, even at maximum load, is guaranteed by the high precision over dimensioned conic bearings and the very
thick stainless steel shafts, threaded upon request to adapt to any polar finding.

Maximum stability during the photographic session is guaranteed by the 11 Kg weight (without countherweights) in the B230 model,
18 Kg in the Omega model, 30 Kg in the Alpha model, 56 Kg in the Beta model and 85 Kg in the Gamma Model.
Because of the considerable weight of these mounts, they can all be separated in two parts for an easier assembly and disassembly.

Thick and wide plates (mod. B230 = 10mm, mod. Omega = 12mm, Alpha = 15mm, mod. Beta and Gamma = 20mm)
turning through 360 degrees and lockable by 3 screw knobs at 120 degrees (the best locking system). The azimut regulation of 20 degrees is done with micrometric screw 0.5mm pitch.

The gears movement lock mechanism is not from the side like other mounts, but from above: this is to avoid decentring the rotation axis.
The colour is steel grey anodization.
Our mounts can be adapter to the piers we produce or to any tripod on the market. They come in wooden boxes for easy storage and trasportation.

|
All locking screw mechanism are made in aluminium and they are encased in stainless sleeves in order to avoid the thread to be damaged.
The worms can be seen through a small glass to check the movement and the lubrification.

Our mounts are amoung the few which can adjust the latitude from 0 to 70° degrees by simply rotating the micrometric screw knob, there is no need of disassembling any mechanical component or buying any optional part.
The rotation is helped by a bearing which lightens the load.
The latitude fork joint looks relatively small, in reality it is obtained from solid bar and not made of 4 screwed parts like other mounts.
